Private Brush Truck information

Many of you have seen or heard of the bush trucks we have stationed at Bonita Creek.  We have two.  We have two very powerful 4x4 trucks with 750 gallons of water sitting on site and ready to apply water to any brush fires we have in or around Bonita!  No small self sufficient community could ask for more!  And Bonita Creek has always been just that.  We work together, we get things done, and we all have a better home up here to show for it.

Is this NOT part of the Fire District deal.  Nope.  Not at all.  We paid for these trucks.  They are ours to command as we see fit.  Any fire we have that burns for 20-30 minutes waiting for help from the Forest Service or WPFD will be a serious fire that's hard to fight.  It may also burn down something more than a few bushes in that time.  It only makes sense to have something here, and ready to go...NOW!

Since this was done without any association approval there is no outside funding.  The opportunity (availability and price) were a one time deal and we had to grab it quickly!  Bonita is unique in that the residents all love to take part in what shapes their community.
