get it? That's right! From your grand kids!
Yeah, the above is just my opinion based on facts
and
observations. I tend to tell the whole truth as I see it, and not just the
goody two shoes blue sky edition. I do think that Bonita would be a far
better place to live if some people didn't find it necessary to take care of us.
But heck, if they insist on taking care of us, how about $163,000 worth of
services!?!
Oh, because everyone is being milked so badly we
are NOT accepting any more donations for our brush trucks. Enough is
enough! Chuck and I thank you SO much for your past support!
The flag on our pole?
(7.18.2008)
You may notice the flag in the picture is not
always old glory. It is the freedom that living here offers that allows me
to have some fun. If it's a yellow flag, you are looking at
America's first
flag. It says "Don't Tread on Me" and has a rattler on it. A
naval (or 'skip') version of this flag fly's off the fan tail of some of our
ships in the middle east today!
Or, you might see, the
Jolly Roger! This, or a form of it, was first used by the Knights
Templar on ships they used to plunder the rich royalty. The term comes
from the French term 'Jolie Rouge', or 'pretty red'. So, why would you
call a black and white flag red? Ahh, if a pirate flew a RED flag it meant
they didn't take prisoners. This is bad if you are about to be boarded.
So, if it's not red, it's a pretty red...according to the French anyhow. I
like it because it's an honest version of a smiley face. And, I'm an old
guy and don't really care what anyone thinks, so there! (grin) It's still
safe to visit...I'm not a very good aim with the cannon anyhow...and of course,
the flag isn't red.
Old Glory, in as perfect a condition as possible,
will always fly on holidays that honor and remember the great men, women, and
moments in our history.
Weather studies?
Over the years I've had a few requests for our
weather history. Since I installed the weather station in 2002 it's been
logging 48 readings per day, that's once every 30 minutes. Lots of data
about winds, rain fall, etc. So, for those folks interested in weather
study data, here you go!

Homes for sale at Bonita! (now two listings!)

New contractors list being gathered!!
(8/1/2007)
Have you ever noticed how much fun
it is to find someone in Payson to come build or fix something for you.
Not only do you not know if they are any good, you don't even know if they are
going to show up!! So, we are building a list of contractors who have
proven to one of us that they not only show up, but do a good job! If
you've had good luck with anyone and would recommend them to your neighbors
please email me with their name, contact information, what they do, and what
they did for you. I've got the list going already and hope
it grows to a fine list of contacts to make your life at Bonita a little easier.
