Bonita Creek is 12 miles NE of Payson.  Just two miles from the base of the Mogollon Rim.  The average altitude is 6,000 feet and the rim is just over 7,000.  The creek runs year round.

Shhhhhhh.  If you aren’t at Bonita to get away, then, well, get away!!


My thoughts...such as they are:

Beating the horse will not bring it back to life.  It may make you feel better, and may provide for a good tender BBQ, but as a usable horse?  The ride is over.
